Our Verdict
Choosing between Flexiti Monthly Payment Widget and Koin Cashback & Store Credit depends heavily on a merchant's primary business goals. If the objective is to attract new customers and increase conversion rates by offering flexible payment options, Flexiti is the more suitable choice, assuming they improve their app rating and reviews. However, merchants prioritizing customer retention, increased lifetime value, and fostering loyalty will find Koin Cashback & Store Credit a more effective solution. Given Koin's high rating and positive reviews, it currently presents a safer and more proven option for loyalty and retention strategies.
Common Questions
Which app is better for increasing average order value (AOV)?
Flexiti can potentially increase AOV by making higher-priced items more accessible through monthly payment options. Koin focuses more on frequency of purchase rather than AOV directly, although loyal customers may spend more over time.
Which app requires a third-party account?
Flexiti requires a merchant to have a Flexiti merchant account to utilize its financing capabilities. Koin leverages native Shopify store credit, so no third-party financial service integration is needed.
Is Koin suitable for B2B businesses?
Yes, Koin explicitly states support for applying store credit to B2B company locations on Shopify Plus.
How easy is it to integrate rewards and cashback?
Koin offers pre-built Shopify Flow templates to automate reward programs, suggesting ease of use. Flexiti's integration seems straightforward for displaying payment amounts, but requires a pre-existing Flexiti merchant account setup which may be less simple.
What if I want to offer both financing options and a loyalty program?
The best approach would be to use both apps, if they integrate well together. If budget or technical limitations exist, start with the solution that addresses the most pressing business need (acquiring new customers vs. retaining existing ones) and reassess later.
