Flexiti Monthly Payment Widget vs Partialy ‑ Partial Payment CODfor Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Flexiti Monthly Payment Widget and Partialy - Partial Payment COD offer distinct approaches to payment flexibility on Shopify. Flexiti focuses on integrating Flexiti financing options directly into the shopping experience by displaying estimated monthly payments. This is aimed at increasing sales by making products appear more affordable through financing. Partialy, on the other hand, centers around partial payment and cash-on-delivery (COD) strategies. It allows merchants to collect a deposit upfront and the remaining balance later, providing flexibility for customers and reducing the risk of 'return to origin' (RTO) issues. Both apps aim to boost sales, but cater to different customer preferences and merchant needs. The biggest difference lies in the specific payment methods supported. Flexiti is directly tied to the Flexiti financing platform, requiring merchants and customers to use that service. Partialy offers more general functionality for partial payments and COD, allowing merchants to manage these processes independently. Partialy also has advanced rules for COD, offering customizations based on various factors. The user ratings reflect a stark contrast. Flexiti currently has no reviews, while Partialy enjoys a perfect rating with multiple reviews, which could suggest Partialy provides a smoother user experience and/or is more well-received by merchants.

Our Verdict
If a merchant is already utilizing Flexiti financing and wants to integrate that seamlessly into their online store, the Flexiti Monthly Payment Widget is the clear choice, *assuming* its ratings improve over time. However, without any ratings, it's a risk. Partialy - Partial Payment COD is better suited for merchants seeking flexible payment plans beyond just financing, especially those focused on reducing RTO through partial payments and those who heavily rely on COD. Partialy's perfect rating and positive reviews provide a degree of confidence that the Flexiti app lacks. For general use in offering customers flexible payment options, Partialy is the safer and more versatile option based on the available data.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Based on ratings and lack of reviews for Flexiti, it is likely Partialy would be easier to set up.
Which app requires a pre-existing account with a payment provider?
Flexiti Monthly Payment Widget requires a pre-existing account with Flexiti, while Partialy - Partial Payment COD does not require a specific payment provider account other than what Shopify offers for processing payments. Partialy only requires that if using COD, you can handle that using your normal fulfillment flow.
Which app is better for high-value items?
Flexiti Monthly Payment Widget may be better for high-value items as it focuses on financing, making the cost seem more manageable. However, without reviews or information, it's difficult to know whether it would make a difference.
Which app is better for reducing order cancellations?
Partialy - Partial Payment COD is directly designed to reduce RTO by requiring upfront payment. The assumption is someone who pays at least a portion of something will be less likely to return the item. Flexiti could indirectly do this by making it financially feasible, but that isn't a focus of the app.
Can both apps be used simultaneously?
Potentially, yes, but it could lead to customer confusion. A merchant would need to carefully consider if offering both Flexiti financing and partial payment/COD options would be beneficial or overwhelming for the customer. You would not want to offer both COD and Financing on the same order. You could use Partialy COD only for certain items.
