Our Verdict
For smaller stores or merchants prioritizing ease of use and enhanced customer communication, Floatify: Social & CTA Buttons is the better choice. Its simple setup, focus on accessibility through floating buttons, and positive reviews make it a valuable tool for improving customer engagement. Makaira Connect, while offering powerful search and recommendation features, lacks social proof with no reviews and a more complex setup.
Therefore, Makaira Connect would only be a fit if you have a very large product catalog, an advanced SEO strategy, and have the resources to invest in setting it up and monitoring performance. With the information available, Floatify is the stronger choice for the vast majority of Shopify merchants looking for a quick and easy win.
