Floatify: Social & CTA Buttons vs Smart Visual Searchfor Shopify (2026)
Floatify: Social & CTA Buttons and Smart Visual Search are both listed under the 'Search and navigation' category in the Shopify app store, but they serve vastly different purposes. Floatify focuses on improving the customer experience and driving conversions by providing readily accessible communication channels and call-to-action buttons directly on the storefront. These include WhatsApp live chat, one-click call buttons, and social media links. It targets merchants looking to increase engagement and sales through easily accessible communication channels. Smart Visual Search, on the other hand, likely concentrates on improving product discovery through visual search technology (though specific features aren't provided). While both contribute to the overall shopping experience, their approaches are fundamentally different. Floatify is about immediate accessibility and conversion, while Smart Visual Search is about advanced product findability. A significant point of differentiation is their user reception, with Floatify boasting a perfect 5/5 rating based on 68 reviews, contrasting sharply with Smart Visual Search's 1/5 rating from a single review. Given the significant difference in ratings and reviews, it's evident that Floatify has a strong positive reputation for delivering on its promise, whereas Smart Visual Search appears to be facing challenges in user satisfaction or adoption.

Our Verdict
For merchants focused on immediate customer interaction and driving conversions through readily available communication channels, Floatify: Social & CTA Buttons is the clear choice. Its high rating, positive reviews, and user-friendly features make it a valuable tool for enhancing the customer experience and boosting sales. The simple installation and customizable buttons allow for easy integration into any Shopify store.
Smart Visual Search, despite targeting a potentially valuable area of product discovery, suffers from a dramatically low rating and a lack of reviews, making it a riskier choice at this time. Unless a merchant has a very specific need for visual search and is willing to potentially troubleshoot issues, Floatify provides a safer and more proven path to improved customer engagement.
