Fly: Bundles & Quantity Breaks vs UpsellPlus Checkout Upsellfor Shopify (2026)
Fly: Bundles & Quantity Breaks and UpsellPlus Checkout Upsell both aim to increase Average Order Value (AOV) for Shopify merchants, but they take different approaches. Fly focuses on creating bundles, quantity breaks, and volume discounts to encourage larger purchases within the standard shopping flow, emphasizing a streamlined experience with native widgets and zero coding required. UpsellPlus, on the other hand, centers around checkout optimization, offering upsells directly within the Shopify Checkout (especially for Shopify Plus users), post-purchase offers, and thank you page customizations. Fly targets merchants who want to subtly incentivize larger purchases through product combinations, tiered discounts, and free gifts. Its strength lies in the breadth of its bundling and discount options, combined with its user-friendly, no-code design. UpsellPlus caters to merchants seeking more direct and aggressive AOV improvement strategies by leveraging the checkout process and post-purchase experience. Its power lies in its ability to customize the checkout flow (especially with Shopify Plus) and offer targeted upsells at critical decision points. Both apps boast a 5/5 rating, but Fly has significantly more reviews, suggesting wider adoption and potentially more comprehensive real-world usage data.

Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing a seamless, no-code experience with a focus on strategic product combinations and discounts to subtly increase AOV, Fly: Bundles & Quantity Breaks is the better choice. It offers a broader range of bundling and discount options that are easily integrated into the store. It shines in its simplicity and ease of use.
However, for merchants aiming for a more direct and aggressive approach to AOV improvement, especially those with Shopify Plus stores looking to customize the checkout experience, UpsellPlus Checkout Upsell is the superior solution. The ability to modify the checkout page and post-purchase flow provides powerful opportunities to capture additional revenue. UpsellPlus allows you to be more strategic about capturing those last minute sales. Consider Fly for ease of use and broader integration, and UpsellPlus for control over customer's checkout flow.
