FreightClub | Ship LTL&Parcel vs MyGLS Professionalfor Shopify (2026)
FreightClub | Ship LTL&Parcel and MyGLS Professional cater to very different shipping needs on Shopify. FreightClub focuses on LTL (Less Than Truckload), large parcel, and freight shipping, targeting merchants dealing with big, bulky items who require enterprise-level carrier rates and automated claims management. MyGLS Professional, on the other hand, is tailored for merchants primarily using GLS (General Logistics Systems) for parcel delivery, particularly in Eastern Europe, providing unlimited label printing and parcel shop integration. The primary distinction lies in the shipping type and carrier: FreightClub is multi-carrier for larger goods, while MyGLS Professional is GLS-specific for parcel shipping. FreightClub's strength lies in its ability to provide discounted rates from 35+ carriers for LTL, large parcel, and freight, along with automated claims and real-time tracking. This makes it ideal for merchants who struggle with the complexities and costs of shipping large or heavy items. MyGLS Professional's advantage is its seamless integration with GLS, offering unlimited label printing, parcel shop integration, and automated order status tracking. It is particularly useful for merchants operating in regions where GLS is a primary shipping provider and who need a dedicated GLS management solution. While FreightClub emphasizes cost savings and automation for complex shipments, MyGLS Professional centers on efficiency and ease of use within the GLS ecosystem.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants shipping large, heavy, or bulky items and needing competitive rates from multiple carriers, FreightClub | Ship LTL&Parcel is the clear choice. Its ability to handle LTL, large parcel, and freight shipping, combined with automated claims and real-time tracking, provides significant value. However, if a merchant primarily uses GLS for parcel delivery, particularly in Eastern Europe, and needs a streamlined solution for label printing, parcel shop integration, and order tracking within the GLS ecosystem, MyGLS Professional is the better option. The higher review count for MyGLS Professional suggests a more established user base and potentially wider adoption within its target market.
Common Questions
Which app is better for international shipping?
FreightClub supports shipping through a wide range of carriers, which likely includes international options, whereas MyGLS Professional is focused on GLS, which has a strong presence in Europe. Therefore, FreightClub *may* offer more international shipping options. Check the individual carrier options in freightclub for international shipping though.
Does FreightClub or MyGLS Professional offer free trials?
Neither app description explicitly mentions a free trial, merchants should check the Shopify App Store listing for current trial availability.
Which app is better for a small business just starting out?
It depends on the products shipped. If the business ships small parcels primarily in Europe, MyGLS Professional is likely better. If the business ships larger items and needs to compare rates, FreightClub would be the better starting point.
Which app has better customer support?
FreightClub mentions 'dedicated support' in its description. MyGLS Professional doesn't explicitly mention dedicated support, making FreightClub the more likely option for merchants prioritizing customer service. Read recent reviews to see if support is actually good.
Can I use both FreightClub and MyGLS Professional together?
Potentially, yes, if your business handles both LTL/Freight shipments (FreightClub) and GLS parcel deliveries (MyGLS Professional). They address different aspects of the shipping process and wouldn't necessarily conflict with each other.
