Our Verdict
Frenet is the clear choice for Shopify merchants primarily shipping within Brazil who need access to local carriers, discounted rates, and features like shipping protection. Its focus on affordability and Brazilian logistics makes it a strong option for that specific market. MyGLS Professional is ideal for merchants already using GLS, especially in Eastern Europe, who require a robust solution for managing GLS shipments without label limitations. The high rating and significant number of reviews suggest it delivers on its promise of comprehensive GLS integration and ease of use. Merchants outside of Brazil using other carriers will find Frenet irrelevant, just as merchants not using GLS won't benefit from MyGLS Professional.
Common Questions
Which app offers better discounts on shipping?
Frenet claims to offer shipping up to 90% cheaper by connecting you to Brazil’s leading carriers. MyGLS Professional doesn't directly offer shipping discounts; its value lies in unlimited label printing for GLS.
Which app is better for international shipping?
While Frenet focuses on Brazilian carriers, MyGLS Professional is built for GLS, a European carrier, with potential for international shipments within GLS's network. If your international shipping involves GLS, MyGLS Professional is likely the better choice. If not, neither app is ideal for general international shipping.
Does either app handle returns or reverse logistics?
Frenet explicitly mentions "reverse logistics" as a key feature. MyGLS Professional doesn't mention any return functionalities in its description.
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Both apps claim to be easy to use. However, MyGLS Professional's focus on a single carrier (GLS) might suggest a simpler setup process for merchants already familiar with GLS. Frenet, with its multiple carrier integrations, might require more initial configuration.
Which app provides insurance or protection against lost or damaged shipments?
Frenet offers “SOS Shipping Protection for coverage against theft, loss, and damage.” MyGLS Professional does not mention any form of shipping protection.
