Frenet vs Shipping & Delivery ‑ ShipZipfor Shopify (2026)
Frenet and Shipping & Delivery - ShipZip are both Shopify apps designed to enhance shipping management, but they cater to different needs. Frenet focuses on simplifying shipping for Brazilian merchants by providing access to local carriers with discounted rates, automatic rate calculation, and label printing. Its core value proposition lies in reducing shipping costs and streamlining the entire shipping process within Brazil. ShipZip, on the other hand, targets merchants needing advanced and highly customizable shipping rules. It provides granular control over shipping rates based on product attributes, customer characteristics, zip codes, delivery dates, and more, focusing on flexibility and precision in rate calculation. Frenet's SOS Shipping Protection adds a layer of security and insurance, primarily beneficial for stores concerned about package loss or damage within Brazil. ShipZip emphasizes complex rules for specific product types, deliveries, or geographical areas and is suitable for businesses with specialized shipping requirements. While Frenet offers a complete shipping platform, ShipZip concentrates on the intricacies of shipping rate calculation and local delivery management. The significant difference in review count and average rating also suggests different levels of user satisfaction or perhaps differing target audiences leading to different review patterns.

Our Verdict
Frenet is the clear choice for Shopify merchants operating in Brazil who prioritize affordable shipping rates from local carriers and simplified logistics within the country. Its SOS Shipping Protection offers added peace of mind for potential losses or damages. Its value proposition of easy Brazilian shipping is extremely attractive.
ShipZip is better suited for businesses, regardless of location, that require intricate shipping rules based on product attributes, customer locations, delivery dates, and other specific conditions. If your business has complex shipping needs like product-specific shipping fees, weight-based pricing, or local delivery management, ShipZip offers the necessary customization. However, if you operate in Brazil and seek overall cost savings and simplicity in accessing major local carriers, Frenet is likely the more appropriate solution.
