Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing a hands-off approach with deep integration into Shopify Markets and a focus on high-volume traffic, GeoIP Country Redirect is likely the better choice. Its strong focus on automatic redirection and explicit support for Googlebot exclusion make it well-suited for larger stores. However, merchants who want more control over the user experience, need extensive customization options, and prefer visual elements like popups and top bars should strongly consider Geolocation Redirects | xapps. The slightly lower review count, while potentially a concern, is offset by the perfect 5-star rating, suggesting a higher level of satisfaction among its user base. It comes down to automation vs. customization.
