Our Verdict
If you're a smaller merchant primarily concerned with blocking unwanted traffic or creating simple geo-redirection rules, and value ease of use, Geolocation Express Redirect could be a good choice, especially if you want a simple, focused setup. However, the extremely low review count raises a caution flag. Given the overwhelming number of positive reviews for Selecty, and considering that a geo location app's core strength lies in its accuracy with geo data which is refined through testing and user feedback, Selecty might be the better choice even for basic needs, assuming it doesn't over complicate the experience.
For merchants actively using Shopify Markets or Global-e to expand internationally, Geolocation & Markets—Selecty is the clear winner. Its feature set directly addresses the needs of multi-market management, offering tools to localize the customer experience and drive global sales. The integration with expansion stores and language/currency selection are invaluable for these merchants.
