Giftify ‑ Gift Message Emails vs Givy → Gift Cards & Giftsfor Shopify (2026)
Giftify ‑ Gift Message Emails and Givy → Gift Cards & Gifts both aim to enhance the gifting experience on Shopify stores, but cater to different needs and scales. Giftify, with its limited reviews and lower rating, likely focuses on basic gift messaging functionality. Its niche is providing a simple solution for allowing customers to add personalized messages to gifts. Givy, on the other hand, positions itself as a comprehensive gifting solution, supporting multi-currency gift cards, product & subscription gifting, wrapping options, corporate gifting, and bulk voucher generation. Givy's higher rating and significantly more reviews suggest greater user satisfaction and a more robust feature set. Giftify seems designed for smaller stores that require a basic gifting message add-on without extensive customization or advanced features. Givy targets larger businesses that need a full-featured gifting platform. These businesses likely deal with diverse customer bases requiring multi-currency support and need to automate bulk gift card generation for loyalty programs or corporate gifting initiatives. The availability of subscription gifting within Givy expands the target audience to businesses that sell recurring products or services. Givy's corporate gifting & influencer seeding features indicate an understanding of business-to-business (B2B) use cases, which Giftify doesn't seem to address.

Our Verdict
For merchants needing a basic, inexpensive solution to add gift messages to orders, Giftify ‑ Gift Message Emails might suffice, assuming its simplicity translates to ease of use. However, the limited reviews and lower rating raise concerns about reliability and support. Businesses seeking a comprehensive gifting solution to handle diverse customer needs, subscription gifting, corporate gifting programs, and multi-currency transactions should opt for Givy → Gift Cards & Gifts. Givy's superior rating and significant number of reviews indicate a more robust and reliable platform, although the more complex feature set might require more initial setup and training. Givy also enables business scaling through features such as bulk gift cards and corporate gifting.
Ultimately, the choice depends on the merchant's specific requirements and budget. A merchant simply looking to allow basic gift messages would be fine to test Giftify, but if they need any advanced features, Givy would be the better choice.
