GoodAuthentic UGC vs Rocket Google Reviewsfor Shopify (2026)
GoodAuthentic UGC and Rocket Google Reviews are both Shopify apps aiming to improve customer engagement and social proof, but they tackle it from entirely different angles. GoodAuthentic UGC focuses on collecting video testimonials directly from customers post-purchase, offering gift cards as incentives and facilitating easy rights management. Rocket Google Reviews, on the other hand, is solely focused on generating Google Reviews. It lacks the video testimonial component, rewards system within the app (although you could offer external rewards), and user-generated content management features of GoodAuthentic UGC. Given the complete lack of reviews for GoodAuthentic UGC and the substantial number of positive reviews for Rocket Google Reviews, merchants should proceed with caution with the former.

Our Verdict
Rocket Google Reviews is the safer bet due to its established track record and overwhelmingly positive reviews. It's ideal for merchants who prioritize boosting their visibility and reputation on Google. GoodAuthentic UGC, while potentially valuable for capturing rich video content, is a riskier proposition due to the complete absence of user reviews. A merchant would choose GoodAuthentic UGC if they specifically require video testimonials and are willing to beta test an app with no current user validation. Consider waiting for reviews to accumulate before investing in GoodAuthentic UGC unless you're comfortable with potential issues.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on its high rating and numerous reviews, Rocket Google Reviews is likely to be easier to set up and use. GoodAuthentic UGC has no reviews, so its ease of use is unknown.
Which app provides more detailed feedback?
GoodAuthentic UGC likely provides more detailed feedback through video testimonials compared to star ratings and short written reviews on Google. However, the quality of those videos depends on the setup and instructions. Google reviews also allow for more detailed written feedback.
Is it worth the risk choosing GoodAuthentic UGC?
The risk of choosing GoodAuthentic UGC depends on your risk tolerance and specific needs. If video testimonials are crucial and you're comfortable being an early adopter who might encounter bugs or limited features, then it might be worth the risk. Otherwise, Rocket Google Reviews is the safer option.
Which app is better for improving search engine ranking?
Rocket Google Reviews likely has a greater direct impact on search engine ranking as Google Reviews are a known ranking factor. Video testimonials from GoodAuthentic UGC could indirectly improve SEO if they are shared on other platforms (e.g., YouTube) and linked back to the Shopify store.
Can I use both apps simultaneously?
Yes, you can use both apps simultaneously. They serve different purposes. Rocket Google Reviews gathers Google Reviews, while GoodAuthentic UGC collects video testimonials. They are complementary, not mutually exclusive.
