Google Customer Reviews Appio vs Zigpoll Customer Surveysfor Shopify (2026)
Google Customer Reviews Appio and Zigpoll Customer Surveys both aim to enhance the customer experience and gather valuable feedback, but they approach this goal from different angles. Google Customer Reviews Appio focuses specifically on leveraging the Google ecosystem for building trust through Google Seller Ratings and displaying a recognizable Google badge on the store. It's designed for merchants primarily interested in boosting credibility using the authority of Google and doesn't appear to offer more complex survey functionalities. On the other hand, Zigpoll Customer Surveys provides a more comprehensive survey solution, offering various survey types (post-purchase, pre-purchase, NPS), multi-channel delivery (on-site, email, SMS), AI analytics, and deeper integration with Shopify and marketing tools. Zigpoll targets merchants seeking richer customer insights beyond simply displaying a Google rating, offering advanced customization, multi-lingual support, and abandoned checkout recovery features. The app aims to provide merchants with a holistic view of customer sentiment and behavior across different touchpoints. The key difference lies in the breadth and depth of the survey functionalities. While Google Customer Reviews Appio focuses narrowly on Google Seller Ratings, Zigpoll offers a broader, more customizable, and data-rich survey platform for optimizing various aspects of the business.

Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on quickly establishing trust and leveraging the Google ecosystem for Seller Ratings, Google Customer Reviews Appio provides a straightforward solution. It is likely to be easier to set up for this specific purpose. However, for merchants seeking a more comprehensive understanding of their customers and wanting to actively collect feedback across multiple channels, Zigpoll Customer Surveys is the stronger choice. Its broader feature set, including AI analytics and multi-channel delivery, allows for deeper insights and optimization of various business areas.
Although both apps have 5/5 ratings, the significant difference in the number of reviews (1 vs. 417) suggests that Zigpoll has a much larger user base and more proven track record. Merchants should weigh the simplicity of Google Customer Reviews Appio against the power and flexibility of Zigpoll to determine the best fit for their specific needs and growth strategies.
