Our Verdict
Based on the available data, Wizzy AI Search & Filter presents a significantly more compelling option for Shopify merchants in 2026. Its positive reviews and feature-rich description paint a picture of a valuable tool for improving product discovery and conversion rates, especially for stores with large catalogs and complex filtering needs. GroupBy AI Search & Filter, with its lack of reviews, poses a higher risk. While it might offer similar functionality, the absence of social proof makes it difficult to recommend, except perhaps for merchants willing to experiment and potentially provide the first user feedback. Unless GroupBy rapidly acquires positive reviews, Wizzy is the clear choice.
Common Questions
What are the key differentiators between GroupBy and Wizzy?
The primary difference lies in their social validation and feature set details. Wizzy has a perfect rating and a good number of reviews, suggesting it's a reliable product. Its description highlights features like AI-driven suggestions, dynamic filters, and conversion optimization tactics, which are absent from GroupBy's listing.
Which app is better for a small store with a limited budget?
The information provided doesn't detail pricing for either app. However, given its established user base and focus on conversion optimization, Wizzy *might* be worth the investment even if it is more expensive. GroupBy *could* be a more budget-friendly option if it's priced lower, but the lack of reviews makes it a risky choice. Consider trial periods for each.
Does either app negatively impact store performance?
Wizzy explicitly claims to implement fast search and filters without negatively impacting page insights scores, implying attention to performance optimization. No such claim is made for GroupBy, leaving its potential performance impact unknown.
Which app offers better customer support?
The provided data doesn't include information on customer support for either app. Checking each app's page in the Shopify App Store for support details (response times, documentation, etc.) would be prudent before making a decision.
Is either app easier to set up and use?
The descriptions don't directly compare ease of use. Wizzy's extensive feature set suggests a potentially steeper learning curve compared to GroupBy, assuming GroupBy is simpler. Looking for user reviews that mention ease of setup would be helpful.
