Helpdesk + Live chat DeskXpand vs Helpify24for Shopify (2026)
In 2026, Shopify merchants seeking a helpdesk solution face a choice between DeskXpand and Helpify24. DeskXpand positions itself as a comprehensive customer service platform, focusing on ticket management, live chat, and knowledge base integration. It aims to streamline existing support workflows by consolidating various communication channels into a single interface and providing tools for agent productivity like canned responses and automated ticket routing. Helpify24, conversely, offers direct support from online experts, assisting with tasks ranging from app installation to content creation and social media advice. The fundamental difference lies in their approach: DeskXpand is a software solution designed for merchants with established support teams, while Helpify24 provides on-demand human assistance, effectively acting as an outsourced support agency. DeskXpand seems suited for handling a high volume of customer inquiries, while Helpify24 caters to merchants needing specific, hands-on help with various aspects of their e-commerce operations. The choice depends heavily on whether the merchant needs a platform to empower their internal support team or direct access to external expertise.

Our Verdict
For merchants already running a customer support team and looking to improve efficiency and centralize communication across multiple channels, Helpdesk + Live chat DeskXpand is the more suitable choice. Its features are designed to streamline existing workflows and empower agents with tools for faster, more effective responses. However, its lack of reviews raises concerns about its reliability.
On the other hand, Helpify24 is ideal for merchants who need hands-on assistance with specific tasks related to their e-commerce store. If you're struggling with app installations, content creation, or social media management, Helpify24 offers a direct line to experts who can help you overcome these challenges. While it may not be a traditional helpdesk, it provides valuable support for merchants who prefer personalized assistance over a software-based solution. Despite its limited number of reviews, the 5/5 rating is encouraging.
