Our Verdict
For merchants prioritizing simplicity and a straightforward approach to bulk editing core Shopify data, Hextom: Bulk Product Edit is the recommended choice. Its emphasis on ease of use and safe revert options makes it ideal for smaller to medium-sized businesses that want to quickly update their product catalogs, customer lists, or order information without requiring advanced technical skills.
In contrast, Matrixify is better suited for larger, more complex stores or those undergoing migration from other platforms. Its extensive feature set, support for a wider range of data types, and integration with external data sources make it a powerful tool for comprehensive data management, automation, and backup. While it may have a steeper learning curve, the investment is worthwhile for businesses with advanced data management needs and a need to handle large data volumes. A growing store migrating to Shopify from another platform would also find the platform migration support very valuable.
