Hide Collection ‑ VIP Presales vs Tabs Studiofor Shopify (2026)
Hide Collection ‑ VIP Presales and Tabs Studio both fall under the 'Product display' category on Shopify, but cater to very different merchant needs. Hide Collection focuses on access control and exclusivity, enabling merchants to conceal entire collections and make them available only through a secret URL, ideal for pre-sales, private groups, or special promotions. In contrast, Tabs Studio is all about improving the on-page product description layout by organizing content into tabs or accordions, aiming to boost sales, reduce customer inquiries, and enhance the overall shopping experience. The core distinction lies in their functionality: Hide Collection provides a tool for managing product visibility and controlling access, which inherently affects product display; while Tabs Studio directly alters product display through layout enhancements. Hide Collection primarily caters to merchants looking to create exclusive shopping experiences or manage pre-launch product visibility. Tabs Studio is geared toward those wanting to streamline and improve their product page presentation, particularly if they have extensive product descriptions or multiple product details.
