HidePay: Hide Payment Methods vs Quick Quotefor Shopify (2026)
HidePay: Hide Payment Methods and Quick Quote both cater to Shopify merchants concerned with pricing, but they address entirely different needs. HidePay focuses on refining the checkout experience by allowing merchants to strategically hide specific payment methods based on various criteria. This is valuable for merchants seeking to optimize conversion rates by presenting only relevant payment options or managing payment gateway costs. Quick Quote, on the other hand, enables a more personalized sales process by facilitating custom quote requests directly from the cart. It's geared towards businesses that offer complex or customized products/services where pricing isn't straightforward, or where negotiation is a key part of the sales cycle. The key difference lies in their core functionality. HidePay influences the checkout stage by controlling payment method visibility. Quick Quote initiates a pre-checkout interaction, allowing customers to request and negotiate pricing before proceeding to payment. Therefore, HidePay is suited for merchants wanting to streamline payment choices, whereas Quick Quote benefits those needing a flexible pricing system that allows customers to submit quote requests for custom pricing, and allowing admins to create and send custom prices.

Our Verdict
If your primary goal is to optimize your existing checkout process by strategically presenting payment methods, HidePay is the better choice. It allows you to control which payment options are visible, potentially leading to higher conversion rates. However, if your business model involves custom products, negotiated pricing, or a need to provide quotes to customers, Quick Quote is the superior solution. It provides a robust system for handling quote requests, managing customer communication, and facilitating custom pricing, making it invaluable for businesses where standardized pricing isn't feasible.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on their descriptions, HidePay is likely easier to set up due to its simpler functionality. Quick Quote requires more configuration for quote management and email notifications.
Which app is better for increasing conversion rates?
Both apps *can* increase conversion rates, but in different ways. HidePay increases them by reducing checkout friction, and Quick Quote by enabling sales that would otherwise not occur due to complex pricing. HidePay may be more impactful in pure e-commerce scenarios, whereas Quick Quote has the edge in B2B or highly customized product environments.
Can I use both HidePay and Quick Quote together?
Yes, they address different aspects of the customer journey and can potentially be used together. HidePay can streamline the payment process after a quote generated by Quick Quote is accepted.
Does Quick Quote integrate with existing Shopify inventory?
The description mentions the ability to see the items requested in a quote. It doesn't explicitly state integration with Shopify inventory. However, It's likely that the app can pull data from your Shopify store to generate the requests.
Which app is better for B2B businesses?
Quick Quote is generally better suited for B2B businesses, where custom pricing and quote requests are common. HidePay can still be valuable for B2B, but it is a secondary consideration.
