HiTide: Grow your SMS List vs SMSGo: Abandoned Cart Recoveryfor Shopify (2026)
HiTide: Grow your SMS List and SMSGo: Abandoned Cart Recovery are both SMS marketing apps on Shopify, but cater to distinct needs. HiTide focuses exclusively on growing your SMS subscriber list through Instagram Direct Message automation, integrating directly with established SMS platforms like Attentive, Klaviyo, and Yotpo. Its strength lies in acquiring new subscribers and reactivating old ones via giveaways, early access, and other campaign-driven opt-ins. It is best suited for merchants already using a separate SMS marketing platform and seeking to expand their reach through Instagram engagement. SMSGo: Abandoned Cart Recovery, on the other hand, is an all-in-one SMS marketing solution centered around abandoned cart recovery. While it also offers SMS marketing flows and customer segmentation, its core value proposition is recovering lost sales by sending automated SMS reminders with discounts and personalized messaging. SMSGo is designed for merchants who want a comprehensive SMS solution, particularly those struggling with abandoned carts and seeking an immediate boost in sales recovery. It also provides features for 1:1 customer communication and feedback collection.
