Our Verdict
HiTide: Grow your SMS List is better suited for merchants actively looking to expand their SMS marketing list, especially those already using platforms like Attentive, Klaviyo, or Postscript. The high ratings and the focus on Instagram DM automation suggest a relatively easy-to-use and effective solution for capturing new SMS subscribers. Its integrated approach with existing SMS marketing platforms also provides added convenience.
ValueFirst WhatsApp App is more niche, targeting merchants who specifically utilize the ValueFirst WhatsApp API and want to manage their WhatsApp communications directly within Shopify. The low rating raises concerns about usability and overall satisfaction. Unless a merchant is already deeply invested in the ValueFirst WhatsApp API, HiTide appears to be the stronger and more versatile option, based on available information.
