Hukify ‑ Gift Card Pro vs Selling Pointfor Shopify (2026)
Hukify ‑ Gift Card Pro and Selling Point both aim to enhance gift card functionality on Shopify, but they cater to vastly different needs. Hukify focuses on providing a comprehensive gift card creation and management system *within* Shopify, empowering merchants to customize and distribute gift cards easily. It emphasizes personalized gift card experiences with options for custom values, images, and reminder emails. In contrast, Selling Point addresses the challenge of *migrating* existing gift card programs from other platforms or POS systems to Shopify. It provides tools for bulk importing and converting physical gift cards to digital formats. The core difference lies in their functionalities: Hukify is an end-to-end solution for stores starting or optimizing their gift card program *on Shopify*, while Selling Point is a migration tool primarily designed for merchants transitioning from another platform. Hukify offers features to design and manage gift cards post-migration whereas Selling Point’s utility is largely front-loaded in the migration process. Selling Point caters to established businesses moving to Shopify, carrying their existing gift card infrastructure with them. While both boast a perfect 5/5 rating, Selling Point has significantly more reviews (45 vs. 3), suggesting a more established user base and greater overall experience data, although it’s important to acknowledge that review counts can be influenced by various factors beyond the app's quality. The higher number of reviews for Selling Point might point towards it solving a larger and more pressing problem for a specific set of Shopify merchants in 2026.

Our Verdict
For merchants starting a new gift card program directly on Shopify, or those seeking robust customization and management tools *within* the platform, Hukify ‑ Gift Card Pro is likely the better choice. Its features cater to creating a personalized and engaging gift card experience for customers. It handles gift card creation and management which would be useful to stores looking to offer gift cards as a sales or promotional tool.
Conversely, Selling Point is invaluable for merchants migrating to Shopify from another e-commerce platform, POS system, or physical store with an existing gift card or store credit program. It streamlines the often-complex process of transferring these balances to Shopify, saving considerable time and resources. Selling Point effectively removes a significant barrier to platform migration for established businesses with substantial existing gift card liabilities.
Common Questions
Which app is better for a brand new Shopify store?
Hukify ‑ Gift Card Pro is the better choice. It focuses on creating and managing gift cards within the Shopify ecosystem. Selling Point is unnecessary if you don't have existing gift cards to migrate.
What if I have both physical and digital gift cards on my current platform?
Selling Point is designed to handle this scenario, converting physical gift cards to virtual ones during the import process. This is a key differentiator, whereas Hukify is not built to convert physical cards.
Does either app handle the design aspect of gift cards?
Hukify ‑ Gift Card Pro explicitly mentions image upload and customization options, allowing customers to personalize their gift cards. Selling Point does not focus on gift card design but rather importing existing gift card data.
What happens to my migrated gift cards after using Selling Point?
Selling Point migrates your gift cards into native Shopify Gift Cards or Store Credits. After the import, you will manage them using Shopify's standard gift card features, not within the Selling Point app itself (it's primarily for migration).
Is either app a good choice for running marketing promotions with gift cards?
While Hukify focuses on sales of gift cards, Selling Point highlights bulk generating & auto sending gift cards for promotions. This could be beneficial for running promotional marketing campaigns.
