Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants primarily shipping within India and requiring a solution to manage their entire shipping workflow, including AWB generation, GST-enabled invoices, and returns management, ILS: Indian Logistics Services is the more suitable choice. It's tailor-made for the complexities of the Indian logistics landscape. However, merchants seeking a robust solution solely for enhancing the post-purchase experience through advanced order tracking and branded tracking pages, regardless of their shipping location, will find Parcel Panel Order Tracking a better fit.
Given Parcel Panel's significantly larger user base and established presence, it might also be considered a more mature and reliable app, particularly if order tracking is the sole requirement. ILS could still be a viable option for Indian merchants focused on shipping management within India, but Parcel Panel provides a more general and robust order tracking solution.
Common Questions
Which app is better for managing returns?
ILS: Indian Logistics Services has a specific 'Return Request Management' feature, making it more suitable for managing returns directly. Parcel Panel focuses primarily on order tracking and may not offer comprehensive return management capabilities.
Which app is easier to set up?
Without hands-on experience, it's difficult to definitively say. However, ILS might require more initial configuration to integrate with specific Indian logistics providers. Parcel Panel's setup complexity likely depends on the level of customization desired for branded tracking pages.
Does Parcel Panel support Indian logistics providers?
While not explicitly stated, Parcel Panel likely supports tracking for many Indian logistics providers through its integrations. However, it probably doesn't offer the same level of direct integration for AWB generation and other shipping management tasks as ILS.
Which app is more affordable?
The provided data doesn't include pricing information. Merchants should compare the pricing plans of both apps to determine which is more cost-effective for their specific needs and shipping volume.
Can I use both apps together?
Potentially, yes. Merchants could use ILS for managing their Indian shipping logistics and Parcel Panel for providing enhanced order tracking to their customers. However, careful consideration should be given to avoid overlapping functionalities and ensure data consistency.
