Immi Gift Cards vs Ribbon | Giftingfor Shopify (2026)
Immi Gift Cards and Ribbon | Gifting both address gifting needs on Shopify, but they offer vastly different approaches and are targeted at different merchant segments. Immi Gift Cards focuses on traditional gift card distribution in bulk, emphasizing ease of use and time savings for merchants who want to quickly send gift cards to various customer segments. It is designed for businesses prioritizing simple, broad-based gift card campaigns. Ribbon | Gifting, on the other hand, offers a more sophisticated solution centered around product gifting. It allows customers to directly gift products on product pages, eliminating the need for size or address information upfront. Its features like personalized gift-wrapping options and product recommendations aim to increase average order value and customer retention. Ribbon's analytics also offer valuable insights into gifting trends. Ribbon is better suited for merchants seeking innovative gifting solutions that integrate directly into the product browsing experience and aim to increase revenue through upselling and data-driven campaign optimization. The major distinction lies in the gifting mechanism. Immi Gift Cards directly distribute gift cards, while Ribbon | Gifting facilitates the gifting of specific products from your inventory.

Our Verdict
Given the current data available, Ribbon | Gifting appears to be the stronger choice for most merchants, especially those looking for a comprehensive solution that integrates seamlessly with their product pages and offers upsell opportunities. The 5/5 rating and 9 reviews indicate a higher level of user satisfaction. However, if a merchant needs a very simple, straightforward method for bulk distributing gift cards and isn't concerned with advanced features or upselling, Immi Gift Cards *might* suffice, but the lack of any reviews or a positive rating is a significant red flag. A merchant should definitely investigate Immi Gift Cards extensively before committing.
For new Shopify stores or stores on a budget, carefully consider the commitment of time and energy required to set up and manage either system. The potential benefits of product-level gifting with Ribbon may outweigh any small initial time investment, considering the possible increase in revenue.
