Our Verdict
Choosing between Immi Gift Cards and Selling Point depends entirely on the merchant's needs. If a merchant is primarily focused on creating and distributing new gift cards for marketing campaigns or customer rewards within Shopify, Immi Gift Cards, despite the lack of reviews, seems geared towards that use case. However, the absence of reviews presents a risk. On the other hand, Selling Point is ideal for merchants who are transitioning to Shopify from another platform (e.g., a different e-commerce platform or a POS system) and need to migrate their existing gift card balances and data. The strong rating and numerous reviews suggest a reliable solution for this specific migration need. If a merchant needs both, they may need to evaluate if one app handles both aspects sufficiently, or if they need to use both apps.
Common Questions
Which app is better for creating new gift cards for a promotion?
Immi Gift Cards seems designed for this, offering bulk distribution to selected or all customers and segments. Selling Point focuses on migrating existing gift cards, not creating new ones, although it states it has bulk generation for marketing, so this might depend on the flexibility you need.
Can Selling Point create gift cards from scratch within Shopify?
Selling Point's primary focus is on migrating existing gift cards from other platforms. While it includes 'Bulk generate & auto send out Gift Cards for your marketing promotions.' there are more limited details about how versatile this generation feature is relative to Immi's.
If I have gift cards in my POS system, which app should I use?
Selling Point is specifically designed to migrate gift card data from POS systems into Shopify, making it the appropriate choice in this scenario.
Why does Immi Gift Cards have no reviews?
The lack of reviews could indicate the app is new, has not been widely adopted, or has had issues preventing users from leaving reviews. Merchants should exercise caution and consider contacting the developer for more information.
Is Selling Point suitable for merchants who don't have existing gift card data to migrate?
Selling Point's primary function is migration. If a merchant doesn't need to migrate existing gift card data, Selling Point would be unnecessary.
