Influence: Loyalty & Referral vs Rockit Discounts & Sales Appfor Shopify (2026)
Influence: Loyalty & Referral and Rockit Discounts & Sales App cater to distinct merchant needs despite both falling under the 'Discounts' category on Shopify. Influence focuses on building long-term customer loyalty through reward programs, referral incentives, and VIP tiers. Its strength lies in fostering customer retention and increasing customer lifetime value through points, tiered systems, and omnichannel experiences, with integrations to popular apps like Klaviyo and Gorgias. It appeals to merchants seeking to create a deeper connection with their customers and build a loyal following. Rockit Discounts & Sales App, on the other hand, centers on driving immediate sales through flash sales, bulk discounts, and scheduled price changes. Its capabilities revolve around creating urgency and promoting discounts through sale badges, countdown timers, and efficient bulk price editing. It's best suited for merchants prioritizing rapid sales boosts and promotional campaigns. While Influence emphasizes a customer-centric, relationship-building approach, Rockit Discounts & Sales App takes a more sales-driven, promotional approach. The number of reviews highlights the relative popularity of the apps: Rockit Discounts & Sales App has a significantly larger user base and higher average review score (5/5 with 310 reviews), compared to Influence's 4.2/5 with 27 reviews. This suggests a broader appeal for Rockit, potentially because immediate sales are a more universal merchant need. However, the smaller number of reviews for Influence does not necessarily mean the app is inferior, it might just appeal to a specific niche of merchants who highly value loyalty programs.
