Our Verdict
Given the available data, Ribbon | Gifting is the clear recommendation for most Shopify merchants in 2026 seeking a gifting solution. Its positive rating and feature set focused on product gifting, upselling, and analytics make it a more compelling option. JD Store Credits Extra, with its lack of reviews and unknown features, presents a significant risk.
Merchants who want a proven and actively developed product gifting solution with features to boost AOV and retention should strongly consider Ribbon | Gifting. Unless JD Store Credits Extra demonstrates significant improvements in the future, including user reviews and a clear feature set, it is difficult to recommend.
