Ka‑ching Connector vs Progus Store Locator Mapfor Shopify (2026)
Ka‑ching Connector and Progus Store Locator Map are Shopify apps addressing entirely different merchant needs, despite sharing the 'Storefronts - Other' category. Ka‑ching Connector aims to bridge the gap between a Shopify webshop and the Ka-ching POS, Stock, and overall system. Its value lies in synchronizing data, especially product catalogs and stock counts, and enabling order fulfillment initiated from the Ka-ching POS within the Shopify environment. However, the complete absence of reviews and a 0/5 rating is a significant concern. Progus Store Locator Map, on the other hand, is designed to enhance the customer experience by allowing them to easily locate physical stores or dealers. Its strength lies in customization options, ease of installation without requiring an API key, bulk import capabilities, and advanced analytics to understand customer search behavior. The 5/5 rating with 58 reviews suggests strong user satisfaction.

Our Verdict
The choice between Ka‑ching Connector and Progus Store Locator Map depends entirely on the merchant's needs. If a merchant is deeply invested in the Ka-ching ecosystem and requires seamless data synchronization between their Shopify store and Ka-ching POS or stock management system, Ka‑ching Connector is the only option presented, albeit a risky one given the lack of reviews. However, the absence of reviews and a 0/5 rating should be approached with extreme caution. If a merchant's primary goal is to improve the customer experience by making it easy for them to find physical store locations and potentially increase in-store sales, Progus Store Locator Map is the clear winner. Its high rating, positive reviews, ease of use, and rich feature set make it a compelling choice for businesses with physical storefronts.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Progus Store Locator Map appears easier to set up, as it explicitly states 'No API KEY required - quick installation.' Ka‑ching Connector's setup process isn't detailed but likely requires configuring the connection to the Ka-ching system.
Which app offers better data analytics?
Progus Store Locator Map specifically mentions 'Advanced analytics' providing insights into customer location searches. Ka‑ching Connector's analytics capabilities are not mentioned.
