Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants seeking robust SMS marketing capabilities and automation, including bulk messaging and performance tracking, Kaleyra may seem like the better option, *if* it can overcome the lack of reviews. However, in 2026, the lack of any reviews whatsoever is a significant red flag. Phoneize: Call+WhatsApp Button shines for merchants focused on immediate customer engagement and increasing sales through direct communication channels. Its ease of installation and high rating make it a low-risk, high-reward option for those prioritizing instant customer support.
Given the choice in 2026 based solely on the available information, Phoneize: Call+WhatsApp Button is the preferable choice for most small to medium-sized Shopify businesses, due to its proven track record and focus on immediate customer interaction. Kaleyra, despite its broader feature set, carries significant risk due to the complete absence of user reviews.
