Kedra Checkout Rules vs Razorpay COD & Magic Checkoutfor Shopify (2026)
Kedra Checkout Rules and Razorpay COD & Magic Checkout offer distinct approaches to optimizing the Shopify checkout experience. Kedra Checkout Rules focuses on providing granular control over the checkout process, allowing merchants to validate orders, hide, rename, and reorder shipping and payment methods based on specific conditions. This approach caters to merchants seeking to mitigate fraud, control shipping costs, and tailor the checkout to specific customer segments. On the other hand, Razorpay COD & Magic Checkout, formerly Checkout360, prioritizes conversion optimization and RTO (Return to Origin) reduction through AI-powered features, intelligent COD enablement, and checkout customization options. The core difference lies in their primary objectives. Kedra Checkout Rules is geared towards operational efficiency, risk management, and highly specific checkout customizations, while Razorpay COD & Magic Checkout aims at boosting sales through enhanced user experience and reduced return rates. The choice between the two hinges on whether the merchant values fine-grained control and fraud prevention (Kedra) or maximized conversion and reduced returns (Razorpay). Both apps touch the 'Checkout' and 'Checkout - Other' Shopify categories, but address different pain points.

Our Verdict
For merchants struggling with fraudulent orders, needing precise control over shipping options, and those who need to restrict orders based on location or customer criteria, Kedra Checkout Rules is likely the better choice. The ability to validate checkouts and create custom rules for order eligibility gives a powerful tool to protect businesses from unwanted costs.
However, if the primary focus is on improving conversion rates, minimizing RTO (especially in regions like India), and providing a smoother, AI-assisted checkout experience, Razorpay COD & Magic Checkout is the stronger option. Its AI-powered features, easy setup, and focus on reducing returns make it a suitable choice for businesses prioritizing growth and customer satisfaction, especially those operating in markets with high COD usage and RTO rates.
