Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on increasing sales conversions by offering diverse payment options, Klarna might seem appealing at first glance. However, the extremely low rating and minimal reviews should raise significant concerns about its reliability and user satisfaction. Merchants prioritizing customer retention, repeat purchases, and long-term value should strongly consider Koin Cashback & Store Credit. Its overwhelmingly positive reviews and features like automated rewards and B2B support (Shopify Plus) make it a much more compelling option for fostering customer loyalty. For the vast majority of Shopify merchants, especially those focused on building a loyal customer base, Koin appears to be the better investment.
Due to the very low rating and review count of Klarna, its viability as a recommended app is highly questionable until further positive feedback from users is observed. The data strongly suggests Koin Cashback & Store Credit is the superior choice for merchants seeking a reliable and effective solution for customer retention in 2026.
