Koin Cashback & Store Credit vs Partialy ‑ Partial Payment CODfor Shopify (2026)
Koin Cashback & Store Credit and Partialy ‑ Partial Payment COD both aim to enhance the customer experience on Shopify stores but approach it from drastically different angles. Koin focuses on driving retention and repeat purchases by leveraging Shopify-native store credit for cashback rewards tied to various customer actions. Its strength lies in building customer loyalty and improving profit margins through incentives. Partialy, on the other hand, tackles the issue of cart abandonment and order risk by enabling partial payments, advanced cash on delivery options, and flexible payment plans. Its main advantage is improving sales by accommodating customer preferences and reducing return-to-origin (RTO) rates. While both apps share the 'Payments' category on Shopify, their functionalities are fundamentally distinct. Koin targets merchants looking to deepen customer relationships and incentivize repeat business with a rewards program that's deeply integrated with the Shopify store credit system. Partialy is geared toward businesses that need to provide greater payment flexibility, manage COD orders effectively, and reduce financial risk associated with order fulfillment, particularly in markets where COD is prevalent. The smaller number of reviews for Partialy could indicate it's newer, more niche, or less widely adopted than Koin.
