Koin Cashback & Store Credit vs Razorpay Affordability Widgetfor Shopify (2026)
Koin Cashback & Store Credit and Razorpay Affordability Widget address fundamentally different aspects of e-commerce. Koin focuses on post-purchase engagement and retention through cashback and store credit rewards, targeting merchants looking to build customer loyalty and drive repeat purchases. It's a customer retention and goodwill solution that integrates directly with Shopify-native store credit functionality, and can be used to manage credit for individual customers or B2B company locations on Shopify Plus. In contrast, Razorpay Affordability Widget is designed to enhance conversion rates at the point of purchase by highlighting payment options like EMI and Pay Later. It aims to reduce cart abandonment by making potential customers aware of affordable payment methods. The app depends on Razorpay Secure App being installed, and its effectiveness is tied to the availability and attractiveness of the displayed payment plans. Given the low rating and number of reviews compared to Koin, its efficacy and user experience might be questionable.

Our Verdict
Koin Cashback & Store Credit is a better choice for merchants prioritizing long-term customer loyalty and retention through a rewards system. Its high rating and focus on Shopify-native store credit suggest a more robust and user-friendly experience. It seems particularly suited for businesses looking for goodwill solutions and marketing campaigns. The B2B company location support is unique and beneficial for Shopify Plus users.
Razorpay Affordability Widget might be helpful for merchants specifically struggling with cart abandonment due to perceived high prices. However, the extremely low rating and limited number of reviews raise concerns about its effectiveness and reliability. Unless a merchant is heavily reliant on Razorpay's payment options and needs immediate conversion rate improvements focused solely on affordability display, Koin is likely the safer and more impactful long-term investment.
