Our Verdict
Choosing between Koin Cashback & Store Credit and Tence Add-Ons depends heavily on the merchant's specific needs. If the primary goal is to boost customer loyalty, incentivize repeat purchases, and manage store credit efficiently, Koin is the clear choice. Its features cater specifically to this purpose, and the higher number of reviews suggests a more established track record.
However, if the merchant is primarily focused on enhancing their store's theme with quick and easy add-ons without touching theme code, Tence Add-Ons could be useful. It is vital to carefully evaluate if these add-ons satisfy specific needs as it only has one review. Ultimately, Koin is suited for data-driven merchants looking to grow customer lifetime value, while Tence is aimed at merchants looking for easy enhancements to their existing theme. Given Koin's specific functionality to incentivize purchasing and therefore payment, and the surprising category sharing, Koin is likely more appropriate for the payment category in the Shopify App store.
