Kroolert: KPI‑Alerting vs Ting ‑ Slack Notificationsfor Shopify (2026)
Kroolert: KPI‑Alerting and Ting ‑ Slack Notifications both aim to keep merchants informed about their Shopify store's performance but target different use cases and levels of detail. Kroolert positions itself as a comprehensive KPI monitoring and alerting system, delivering notifications across multiple channels like email, SMS, Slack, Teams, and Zapier, covering a broad range of metrics beyond just orders. Ting, on the other hand, is specifically focused on delivering order notifications and reports directly within Slack, prioritizing team-based visibility of order-related data. Kroolert’s strength lies in its flexibility and breadth of coverage. Its ability to monitor a wide range of KPIs and deliver alerts through various channels makes it potentially suitable for merchants who want a holistic view of their store's performance and need alerts delivered to different team members across different platforms. Ting's simplicity and Slack-centric approach cater to merchants whose teams heavily rely on Slack for communication and need quick access to order updates and reports without leaving the platform. However, Ting's feature set appears more limited, focusing solely on order notifications and reports within Slack. It is important to note the discrepancy in user feedback. Kroolert currently has no reviews, while Ting boasts a perfect rating based on 13 reviews.

Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a broad overview of their store's performance across various KPIs and needing flexible notification options, Kroolert: KPI‑Alerting *could* be a better fit, assuming they can overcome the lack of social proof. However, the absence of reviews is a significant risk. Ting ‑ Slack Notifications is ideal for merchants who primarily use Slack for team communication and are specifically interested in real-time order notifications and reports directly within the platform. The positive reviews and focus on Slack integration suggest a smooth and valuable experience for this user group.
Given the current data, Ting appears to be the safer choice due to its established positive reputation, though it is important to assess the merchant's needs: If the focus is solely on order notifications in Slack, Ting wins. But if the merchant needs wider KPI monitoring across multiple channels, the merchant might consider Kroolert, but only after carefully vetting the application and possibly trialing it extensively.
