KwikPass: OTP‑login & Popups vs Sami B2B Lock,Password Protectfor Shopify (2026)
KwikPass: OTP-login & Popups and Sami B2B Lock, Password Protect are both Shopify apps in the Security and Accounts and login categories, but they serve fundamentally different purposes. KwikPass focuses on enhancing the customer experience by streamlining login using phone-first OTP (One-Time Password) and employing interactive popups to capture leads and incentivize purchases. Its strength lies in identifying anonymous shoppers and converting them into high-intent leads, primarily targeting merchants who want to improve customer engagement and conversion rates through a seamless and incentivized login process. Sami B2B Lock, Password Protect, on the other hand, prioritizes access control and content restriction within a Shopify store. Its strength is in limiting access to specific products, prices, or pages based on customer segments (e.g., wholesalers) or through passwords/secret links. It's clearly geared towards merchants who require robust access management, particularly those operating both B2C and B2B operations within a single Shopify store and needing to differentiate pricing or content visibility for different customer groups. The large difference in review count suggests Sami B2B Lock has been on the market longer or is addressing a more common need.
