Linkie URL Shortener vs Littledata ‑ Google Analyticsfor Shopify (2026)
Linkie URL Shortener and Littledata - Google Analytics, while both categorized under 'Advertising - Other' in the Shopify app store, serve drastically different purposes and target distinct merchant segments. Linkie aims to shorten URLs, presumably for easier sharing and tracking, but its very low rating and minimal reviews raise serious concerns about its effectiveness and reliability. Littledata, on the other hand, focuses on enhancing Google Analytics data for Shopify stores, promising accurate server-side tracking, improved attribution, and actionable insights without complex GTM setups. Littledata positions itself as a solution to improve the accuracy of Google Analytics tracking that native apps struggle with. Littledata is positioned as an invaluable tool for data-driven merchants looking to optimize their marketing spend and understand the complete customer journey, whereas Linkie seems to be focused on basic URL management. The stark contrast in ratings and the detailed description of Littledata’s features and value proposition suggest a far more robust and valuable offering for Shopify merchants in 2026. The fact that Littledata mentions specifically upgrading 'from the Google & YouTube app' suggests that the app is for merchants needing a more sophisticated tool than the basic Google app provides.

Our Verdict
Given the available information, Littledata - Google Analytics appears to be the superior choice for the vast majority of Shopify merchants in 2026 who are serious about understanding and optimizing their marketing performance through Google Analytics. Its high rating, clear value proposition, and emphasis on accurate, comprehensive data tracking make it a compelling tool for data-driven decision-making.
Linkie URL Shortener's low rating and lack of information make it difficult to recommend. Unless a merchant has a very specific and simple need for URL shortening and is willing to take a risk on an unproven app, Littledata presents a much more valuable and reliable solution, especially considering that many platforms include URL shortening natively.
