Luigi’s AI Search & Discovery vs RT: Smooth Scroll To Topfor Shopify (2026)
Luigi’s AI Search & Discovery and RT: Smooth Scroll To Top, while both categorized under "Search and navigation" on Shopify, serve fundamentally different purposes and target distinct merchant needs. Luigi's AI Search & Discovery is an AI-powered suite designed to enhance product discovery, personalize the customer experience, and boost sales through advanced search, recommendations, and shopping assistance. In contrast, RT: Smooth Scroll To Top focuses on a single, but crucial, usability feature: providing a smooth scroll-to-top button to improve navigation on long pages. Luigi's Box targets merchants seeking to optimize their entire on-site search and product discovery experience, aiming for higher conversion rates and increased revenue. It offers features like intent tracking, autocomplete, typo correction, synonyms management, and AI-driven product recommendations. RT: Smooth Scroll To Top, on the other hand, caters to merchants primarily concerned with improving the ease of navigation on their storefront, particularly those with themes lacking a built-in scroll-to-top function or who want more customization over its appearance and behavior. It directly addresses user experience by simplifying the process of returning to the top of a page, especially beneficial for sites with extensive product descriptions or blog content.

Our Verdict
The choice between Luigi’s AI Search & Discovery and RT: Smooth Scroll To Top depends heavily on the merchant's specific needs and priorities. If the primary goal is to overhaul and optimize the entire product discovery experience, increase sales through AI-powered features, and provide personalized recommendations, Luigi's AI Search & Discovery is the clear choice. However, it's important to note the lower review count, which suggests it may be newer to the market or have a smaller user base. Merchant should watch the tutorial video to assess configuration effort.
Conversely, if the focus is solely on improving the usability of long pages by adding or enhancing a scroll-to-top button, RT: Smooth Scroll To Top offers a simpler and more direct solution. Its ease of installation, customization options, and strong positive reviews (with a higher review count) make it a compelling option for merchants who prioritize a quick and easy user experience enhancement without the complexity and potential cost associated with a full-fledged AI search solution.
