Our Verdict
For merchants primarily concerned with building a navigable site structure and improving general SEO visibility, Magical XML/HTML Sitemap is likely the better choice. Its focus on sitemap creation and customization provides a direct approach to improving site indexing and user navigation. The higher rating, although based on a small number of reviews, suggests a positive user experience.
Conversely, Redirect Pro ‑ 404 SEO is better suited for stores that frequently update products or undergo migrations. The automated redirect functionalities and real-time 404 error detection provide a practical solution for maintaining a seamless customer experience and preserving SEO rankings by automatically handling broken links. Even with a lower rating, its specific features cater to a distinct need for managing redirects at scale.
