Our Verdict
If your primary goal is to boost organic search rankings and improve overall site navigation for both users and search engines, Magical XML/HTML Sitemap is the clear choice, backed by positive user reviews. Its focus on sitemap customization and direct linking with Google SEO is highly valuable.
However, if you are struggling with customers being unable to easily find products on your store and want to improve the internal search experience, then Search & Filter ‑ Cotinga might be worth considering *if* they garner positive reviews in the future. The app promises easy setup and AI-driven product discovery features such as image search and spellcheck, but the lack of user reviews is a significant risk. A cautious approach would be advisable until user feedback demonstrates its effectiveness.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up?
Both apps claim easy setup. Magical XML/HTML Sitemap describes a 'simple sitemap builder', while Search & Filter ‑ Cotinga claims 'no setup or maintenance'. However, only Magical XML/HTML Sitemap has user reviews backing up the claim, suggesting it may be the safer bet for ease of use.

Yes, in theory. Magical XML/HTML Sitemap addresses external search and site navigation, while Search & Filter ‑ Cotinga focuses on internal product discovery. They solve different problems and can complement each other to offer a complete solution.
Which app is better for large product catalogs?
Search & Filter ‑ Cotinga appears better suited for large catalogs due to its intelligent search and product filtering. However, without user validation, it's difficult to definitively say. Magical XML/HTML Sitemap is still valuable for SEO purposes on large sites.
Does Search & Filter ‑ Cotinga improve SEO?
The description of Search & Filter ‑ Cotinga does not explicitly mention improving SEO. It focuses on improving the in-store search experience. A better in-store search experience *could* indirectly improve SEO by reducing bounce rate, but this is not a direct claim.
