MakeGift | eギフト機能を手軽に実装できるアプリ vs Video Greet: Gift Messagingfor Shopify (2026)
MakeGift and Video Greet both aim to enhance the gifting experience on Shopify stores, but they approach it from different angles. MakeGift focuses on enabling a "social gifting" or "e-gift" functionality where customers can send gifts to recipients without knowing their address. The recipient then provides their address details. This is a full e-gift solution including delivery. Video Greet, on the other hand, centers around personalized messaging, allowing customers to add video, audio, or text messages to physical gifts, typically facilitated through a QR code or access code. It focuses on the gifting experience, not the fulfillment process.

Our Verdict
MakeGift is ideal for merchants who want to implement a complete e-gifting solution, enabling customers to send gifts without knowing the recipient's address and expanding their market reach through social gifting. The integration with OMS and WMS suggests a focus on managing the complexities of fulfillment in the e-gifting context. However, the low number of reviews is a concern. Video Greet, with its focus on personalized messaging, is better suited for merchants who want to enhance the gifting experience for physical goods and provide an opportunity for added revenue through personalized audio/video messages. It's less complex to integrate and offers strong customization options. Video Greet is generally a safer bet due to the higher number of reviews.
