Measura: Sell by Weight & More vs Progus Store Locator Mapfor Shopify (2026)
Measura: Sell by Weight & More and Progus Store Locator Map are Shopify apps serving distinct merchant needs, although they share the "Selling in person" category. Measura focuses on enabling merchants to sell products by measurement (weight, length, area, volume) both online and in physical stores via Shopify POS, with automatic inventory adjustments. Its strength lies in fractional inventory management and accommodating measurement-based sales, targeting businesses like grocery stores, butcheries, and hardware shops. In contrast, Progus Store Locator Map helps customers find a merchant's physical locations. Its primary value proposition is enhancing in-store sales and reducing customer support inquiries by providing an easy-to-use store locator with customizable map styles and advanced analytics. The core difference lies in their functionality: Measura manages product sales based on measurement units, while Progus Store Locator Map focuses on directing customers to physical stores. While both apps have perfect 5/5 ratings, Progus Store Locator Map boasts a significantly higher number of reviews (58) compared to Measura (14), suggesting broader adoption or longer market presence. Measura offers specialized inventory management capabilities absent in Progus Store Locator Map, while Progus Store Locator Map provides features like bulk import and multilingual support which Measura does not.
