Mega Media Exporter vs Sherpas: Smart SEOfor Shopify (2026)
Mega Media Exporter and Sherpas: Smart SEO, while sharing the 'Images and media' and 'Image editor' categories, cater to vastly different needs of Shopify merchants. Mega Media Exporter is a niche tool focused on simplifying the bulk export of product images and videos. Its primary strength lies in time-saving automation for backing up media, migrating stores, or repurposing assets for marketing campaigns. It targets merchants with large product catalogs and a need for efficient media management. Sherpas: Smart SEO, on the other hand, is a comprehensive SEO suite designed to improve a store's search engine ranking and organic traffic. It leverages AI (ChatGPT-4 Turbo) to generate meta tags and alt tags, optimizes images and page speed, and provides tools for link building and broken link detection. The app targets merchants looking to improve their overall SEO performance through automated tools and features that handle image SEO, structured data, and backlinks. While both can edit images, Smart SEO focuses on editing them for SEO, and Mega Media Exporter focuses on backing them up.
