MenuQoL ‑ Hide & Copy Menu vs RT: Smooth Scroll To Topfor Shopify (2026)
MenuQoL ‑ Hide & Copy Menu and RT: Smooth Scroll To Top both fall under the 'Search and Navigation' category on the Shopify App Store, but they address fundamentally different aspects of the user experience. MenuQoL focuses on backend efficiency, specifically simplifying menu management for merchants who regularly update their navigation based on seasonal promotions or product changes. It streamlines the process of hiding, copying, and editing menu items, offering features like menu import/export and drag-and-drop arrangement. RT: Smooth Scroll To Top, on the other hand, is a front-end tool designed to improve user navigation on long pages. It adds a scroll-to-top button and an optional progress bar to enhance usability and potentially increase conversions by making it easier for customers to explore lengthy product descriptions or blog posts. MenuQoL’s strength lies in its ability to save time and effort for merchants who frequently manage complex navigation menus. Its feature set targets store administrators rather than customers directly. RT: Smooth Scroll To Top prioritizes customer convenience, addressing the need for easy navigation on themes that lack built-in scroll-to-top functionality. Its value proposition centers on improving the shopping experience, particularly on mobile devices where scrolling long pages can be cumbersome. The significant difference in the number of reviews between the two apps suggests a broader adoption or a longer lifespan for RT: Smooth Scroll To Top, indicating that scroll-to-top functionality is a more generally desired feature than advanced menu management tools.
