Our Verdict
For merchants primarily focused on enhancing the visual appeal of their store and leveraging video content to drive sales, Moast Shoppable Videos & UGC is the better choice. It enables a rich and engaging shopping experience directly within video content. However, if the priority is improving organic search rankings and driving traffic through SEO, Sherpas: Smart SEO is the clear winner. Its comprehensive suite of SEO tools, including AI-powered features and automated tasks, provides a strong foundation for improving search engine visibility. The larger number of reviews (842 vs. 107) may also indicate a broader user base and potentially more extensive real-world testing.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to use for a beginner?
Sherpas explicitly states their SEO tasks are made easy and mundane ones are automated. Moast does not mention this, but because Moast is focused on implementing video and UGC, the easier app will depend on the user's familiarity with video and the level of video support that Moast provides.
Does either app offer a free plan or trial?
This information is not provided in the description of either app.
Which app is better for improving mobile page speed?
Sherpas specifically mentions optimizing page speed for better UX and higher SEO rank. Moast does not explicitly mention page speed.
Can I use both apps simultaneously?
Yes, both apps can be used simultaneously as they address different aspects of a Shopify store. One focuses on video and UGC (Moast), while the other focuses on technical SEO (Sherpas). The only potential overlap might be image optimization. Check each app for redundant image optimization and conflicts.
Which app is better for long-term SEO?
Sherpas is better for long-term SEO. It focuses on foundational SEO elements like meta tags, structured data, and backlink analysis, which are crucial for sustained organic search visibility. While UGC can assist in SEO, UGC is more of a secondary factor than Sherpas' core functionalities.
