Our Verdict
For merchants seeking a proven solution to immediately improve customer experience and offer value-added services like gift wrapping, Wrapin ‑ Gift Wrap & Options is the clear choice, given its high rating and substantial number of positive reviews. The risk associated with installing a zero-rated app like MP Product Quiz is considerable.
MP Product Quiz might be suitable for merchants willing to take a chance on a new app and invest the time in building out product recommendation quizzes to gather data and improve product discovery. However, the lack of social proof suggests proceeding with caution and thorough testing. Given the information available, Wrapin is the stronger recommendation for most Shopify merchants due to its demonstrated reliability and clear value proposition.
Common Questions
Which app is easier to set up and use?
Based on the available information, Wrapin is likely easier to set up due to its focus on providing pre-defined gift-wrapping options. MP Product Quiz requires building and configuring quizzes, which may involve more initial effort and design considerations.
Which app is better for increasing average order value (AOV)?
Wrapin directly aims to increase AOV by upselling gift wrap options. While MP Product Quiz can indirectly influence AOV by guiding customers to higher-value products, its primary focus is on conversion rate optimization, not necessarily AOV. Wrapin is the better option here.
Which app is more focused on personalization?
Both apps offer personalization, but in different ways. MP Product Quiz personalizes the shopping experience by recommending products based on customer answers. Wrapin personalizes the order fulfillment experience by allowing customers to add gift messages. It depends on whether you are prioritizing product discovery vs. the unboxing experience.
Which app provides more customer data?
MP Product Quiz is designed to collect customer data through quiz responses, which can be used for segmentation and marketing. Wrapin primarily collects data related to gift wrapping and messages, which is less comprehensive. MP Product Quiz wins in data collection.
Which app is a safer bet in 2026?
Wrapin is the safer bet given its established reputation (high rating and numerous reviews), while MP Product Quiz carries the risk of being an unproven app. Even in 2026, a lack of reviews suggests a potential issue with usability, support, or the app's core functionality. Choosing Wrapin presents less risk.
