MultiPrice: Custom POS Pricing vs Quick Quotefor Shopify (2026)
MultiPrice: Custom POS Pricing and Quick Quote both address pricing on Shopify, but target drastically different needs. MultiPrice allows merchants with both a physical POS (Point of Sale) presence and an online store to set different prices for each. This is useful for covering overhead costs in-store or offering competitive local pricing. The primary strength of MultiPrice is its ability to manage consistent product catalogs across different sales channels, preventing confusion and simplifying inventory management. Quick Quote, on the other hand, focuses on enabling customers to request customized quotes for their cart, primarily used for B2B businesses or those selling products with highly variable pricing. This facilitates negotiation and personalized pricing strategies.

Our Verdict
If you operate both a physical store using Shopify POS and an online store and need to manage pricing differences between them efficiently, MultiPrice is the clear choice. Its ability to set location-specific pricing is a direct solution to this common challenge. However, if your business model involves offering custom pricing or discounts on a case-by-case basis, especially for bulk orders or B2B transactions, Quick Quote is the better option. It provides a streamlined process for customers to request quotes and for you to manage and respond to those requests directly within Shopify. The higher review count for Quick Quote suggests wider adoption or longer availability, although the higher rating does not automatically indicate a superior product, but a more widely praised offering.
Common Questions
Can MultiPrice handle custom discounts on a per-customer basis?
Based on the description, MultiPrice focuses on location-based pricing and doesn't explicitly mention custom, per-customer discounts. That would likely require a separate app or workaround.
Does Quick Quote integrate with existing discount codes?
The description doesn't state direct integration. Likely the discounts are input manually when responding to the quote request.
Is MultiPrice compatible with all POS hardware systems?
The description only mentions compatibility across all Shopify plans, implying compatibility with standard Shopify POS hardware, but specifics are not listed.
How does Quick Quote handle abandoned quote requests?
The provided description doesn't explicitly address abandoned quotes. Merchants likely need to implement their own follow-up system.
Which app is easier to set up and manage?
MultiPrice is likely simpler to set up as it focuses on a more specific task: setting POS-specific prices. Quick Quote involves managing customer communications and creating customized quotes, which could be more involved.
