MyGLS Professional vs Parcel Monitor Track & Notifyfor Shopify (2026)
MyGLS Professional and Parcel Monitor Track & Notify are Shopify apps in the Orders and Order Tracking categories, but they address very different needs. MyGLS Professional focuses heavily on direct integration with GLS (specifically GLS Eastern Europe) and streamlining the label creation and shipping process for merchants who use GLS as their primary carrier. It provides features like unlimited label printing, parcel shop integration, and automated order status tracking tailored to GLS's network. Parcel Monitor, on the other hand, aims to enhance the post-purchase customer experience by providing branded tracking pages and delivery notifications across numerous carriers. Parcel Monitor is a generalized tracking solution designed to improve brand loyalty and reduce WISMO (Where Is My Order) inquiries. Its value proposition lies in providing a seamless and branded tracking experience for customers, regardless of the carrier used. MyGLS Professional prioritizes efficiency and control over GLS shipments, offering specific tools to manage and automate GLS-related logistics, whereas Parcel Monitor concentrates on customer engagement and brand building through post-purchase tracking experiences across all carriers. The customer rating disparity is significant, suggesting MyGLS has a proven track record while Parcel Monitor lacks user validation at this time.

Our Verdict
For Shopify merchants heavily reliant on GLS for shipping to Eastern Europe and needing a solution for label creation, parcel shop integration, and order management within the GLS ecosystem, MyGLS Professional appears to be the clear choice, given its high rating and focused feature set. Its value proposition lies in efficiency and automation of GLS-specific tasks.
On the other hand, if a merchant's priority is to enhance the post-purchase customer experience through branded tracking and notifications across multiple carriers, Parcel Monitor could be suitable. However, the lack of reviews and a zero rating indicate a need for caution and thorough testing before committing to Parcel Monitor. It's best suited for merchants who want to provide a seamless tracking experience regardless of the carrier, focusing on customer satisfaction and brand building. At this time, given the lack of social proof for Parcel Monitor, MyGLS Professional is a safer and more reliable choice for merchants using GLS.
