MyGLS Professional vs Parcelous Order Trackingfor Shopify (2026)
MyGLS Professional and Parcelous Order Tracking both fall under the 'Orders' and 'Order tracking' categories on the Shopify app store, but cater to distinct merchant needs. MyGLS Professional focuses primarily on streamlining GLS (General Logistics Systems, specifically GLS Eastern Europe) shipping, offering unlimited label printing and parcel shop integration. It is a comprehensive solution for merchants heavily reliant on GLS, aiming for efficient internal shipping management. Its high rating and larger number of reviews suggest established reliability within its niche. Parcelous Order Tracking, conversely, prioritizes the customer's post-purchase experience. It offers branded order tracking pages, automated email notifications, and tools to reduce 'Where Is My Order' (WISMO) inquiries. Its features, such as product upsells on the tracking page and dropshipping support (hiding Chinese origin), indicate a focus on enhancing brand perception and driving repeat sales. While it supports hundreds of carriers, its core value lies in improving customer satisfaction and leveraging the tracking page for marketing purposes.

Our Verdict
If your business heavily relies on GLS (specifically Eastern Europe) for shipping and you need a robust solution for label printing, parcel shop integration, and COD fee handling, MyGLS Professional is the clear choice. Its unlimited label printing and high rating with a substantial number of reviews inspire confidence in its capabilities within the GLS ecosystem.
However, if your priority is to elevate the customer experience by providing branded order tracking, reducing WISMO inquiries, and using the tracking page for marketing, Parcelous Order Tracking is the superior option. Its features for product upsells, email notifications, and dropshipping support make it a valuable tool for boosting sales and building brand loyalty. Its broader carrier support also makes it a more versatile option if your business uses multiple shipping providers.

Which app is better for merchants primarily shipping within Eastern Europe using GLS?
MyGLS Professional is the better choice, as it's designed specifically for GLS Eastern Europe, offering features like parcel shop integration and Romanian zip code autofill.
Which app focuses more on customer communication?
Parcelous Order Tracking focuses more on customer communication through branded tracking pages, email notifications, and estimated delivery dates.
Which app is likely to cost less if I only ship a few items per month?
Pricing information is unavailable, so we can't definitively answer. However, MyGLS Professional advertises unlimited labels, implying a flat fee subscription, making it potentially less cost-effective for low-volume shippers compared to a tiered pricing system Parcelous *might* offer.
