MyGLS Professional vs Post & DHL Shipping (official)for Shopify (2026)
MyGLS Professional and Post & DHL Shipping (official) are both Shopify apps designed to streamline shipping operations, but they cater to different needs and geographic regions. MyGLS Professional positions itself as an all-in-one solution specifically for GLS (Eastern Europe) clients, offering unlimited label printing and tight integration with GLS parcel shops. Its focus is on removing limitations and providing advanced features such as automated order tracking and country-specific solutions like autofilling Romanian zip codes. This app aims to provide a comprehensive, unrestricted shipping management experience for merchants primarily shipping within the GLS Eastern Europe network. The app being third party needs to be considered, for instance how much support is available from them vs a DHL official solution. Post & DHL Shipping (official) is a more general shipping solution, presumably offering broader carrier support beyond GLS. It has a slightly lower rating (4.6/5) but significantly more reviews (245) indicating wider adoption and potentially broader applicability. Being an official app, it likely benefits from deeper integration with Shopify and potentially more reliable updates and support directly from DHL. While it may not offer the same level of specialized features as MyGLS Professional, particularly concerning parcel shop integration or specific country solutions, its official status may offer peace of mind and broader applicability for merchants shipping using DHL's wider network.

Our Verdict
If a merchant primarily ships within the GLS Eastern Europe network and requires unlimited label printing, deep parcel shop integration, and country-specific solutions like Romanian zip code autofill, MyGLS Professional is likely the superior choice. The 5-star rating and specific feature set cater to these focused needs. However, merchants who use DHL's broader shipping network and prefer the reliability and direct support of an official app should opt for Post & DHL Shipping (official). While it might lack some of the advanced features of MyGLS Professional, its official status provides greater assurance, and the higher number of reviews suggests broader usability and potentially fewer compatibility issues within the Shopify ecosystem. It's also crucial to consider the support availability and reliance on a third party vs. a first party app. MyGLS professional is likely a better option for those in Eastern Europe using GLS, but for broader DHL use cases, the official app should be prioritized.
