MyGLS Professional vs PostNord by Uniwinfor Shopify (2026)
MyGLS Professional and PostNord by Uniwin are both Shopify apps designed to streamline shipping processes, but cater to different logistical needs and regions. MyGLS Professional focuses on GLS (General Logistics Systems, specifically Eastern Europe), providing a comprehensive, all-in-one solution for GLS clients. It emphasizes unlimited label printing and parcel shop integration, targeting merchants who heavily rely on GLS for their Eastern European shipping needs. PostNord by Uniwin, on the other hand, integrates with PostNord's Skicka Direkt Business (SDB) service, aiming to simplify shipment creation and label printing for merchants already using PostNord's services. The core difference lies in the carrier integration and the target geography. MyGLS Professional offers an end-to-end solution for GLS, including parcel shop selection and COD fee handling, making it ideal for businesses that want a tightly integrated experience with GLS in Eastern Europe. PostNord by Uniwin focuses on optimizing the workflow for existing PostNord SDB users, allowing them to display delivery methods at checkout and manage shipments within the SDB portal or directly through the app. The decision hinges on which carrier the merchant primarily uses and whether they require the additional features offered by MyGLS Professional beyond basic label creation.

Our Verdict
For merchants heavily reliant on GLS for their Eastern European shipping and requiring features like parcel shop integration, COD fee handling, and unlimited label printing, MyGLS Professional is the clear winner. Its comprehensive approach makes it an excellent choice for streamlining GLS workflows. On the other hand, if a merchant already uses PostNord's Skicka Direkt Business and wants to simplify label creation and display delivery methods at checkout, PostNord by Uniwin is the more suitable option. Its integration with SDB offers a convenient time-saving solution within the PostNord ecosystem.
Common Questions
Which app is better for merchants new to shipping?
Neither app is explicitly designed for complete beginners. Both assume a basic understanding of shipping logistics with GLS or PostNord, respectively. However, the robust features of MyGLS Professional for GLS users might be easier for a new GLS merchant to adopt than trying to integrate PostNord by Uniwin without first using PostNord SDB.
Does either app offer discounted shipping rates?
Neither app explicitly mentions offering discounted shipping rates. Both primarily focus on simplifying the shipping process with their respective carriers.
Can both apps be used in the same Shopify store?
While technically possible, using both apps simultaneously would be redundant and potentially create conflicts, as they target different carrier integrations. A merchant should choose the app that aligns with their primary shipping carrier.
